Preparing for TOEFL at Canadian Bilingual Institute -Language courses Bratislava

What is TOEFL?

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is the most accepted English language test in the world. Passing this test is a frequent condition for studying at a foreign university. It is accepted in more than 6,000 institutions in 110 countries worldwide – including nearly every university in the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

TOEFL results are also an internationally recognised certificate, which documents the knowledge of English in the global labor market. The validity of the results of the TOEFL test is two years.

What is it for?

TOEFL is designed for anyone who needs to document his/her English language skills by an internationally recognised examination. Since the tests are not divided into levels but all are of an equal difficulty level then anybody can pass them. It's the final points score which will be marked on the certificate.

Types of tests

There are two ways to take TOEFL-you can choose the online or paper version. Canadian Bilingual Institute recommends that you will check in advance the date and venue of the upcoming test and decide on what form of test you would like to register for.

The results of both forms of the test are of equal value-you choose the type mainly for your own convenience.
